Kate H. Shafer, Attorney
Kate H. Shafer graduated from East High School in Pueblo, Colorado and earned her Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Colorado State University-Pueblo in Psychology and Sociology. She worked extensively in the areas of mental health and long term care before returning to school to study law. Ms. Shafer earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming, College of Law in May 2012. She served as the Student Director for the UW Domestic Violence Legal Assistance Project, where she practiced under the Wyoming Student Practice Act, primarily handling divorce and custody cases. Prior to establishing her own law firm, Ms. Shafer was a partner at Gradisar, Trechter, Ripperger & Roth. Ms. Shafer's practice areas include Divorce, Custody, Wills, Personal Injury, and general civil litigation. Ms. Shafer also serves as a Special Pueblo County Attorney handling mental health cases.
